WHAT WE DO
DTT'S Defensive Tactics and Behavior Management System is designed to “Train Neighborhood Heroes” with interactions that can be videoed by the public. Our course includes verbal de-escalation
techniques and non-bias scenario evaluation with an emphasis on not getting Grabbed, Struck, or Taken Down (GST) during an encounter. Should an encounter necessitate physical intervention, our
Deflection, Immobilization, and Escort techniques eliminate the need for injury to the subject(s) while protecting the defender from injury. Our systems are easily learned by anyone regardless of size or Gender.

What Makes Us Different
In addition to reducing injuries on both sides of a physical conflict, DTT’s Behavior Management System’s novel Defensive Tactics Techniques are unique in the industry. DTT’s training provides an
integrated verbal de-escalation, non-bias scenario training, coupled with accurate observation and report writing skills woven throughout the class itself. Our systems are easily learned by anyone regardless of size or gender using only the strength of a child with minimum physical
exertion of the officer.

DTT’s Founder’s Guiding Goals
The goal of DTT is to fill a growing void in the defensive tactics training field. DTT is unique in its principle of GST, which provides an officer with the possibility of not being Grabbed, Struck or Taken
down in any conflict. DTT is the culmination of our Founder’s teaching in Criminal Justice Departments, and over forty years of training with many of the great martial arts masters, including Master
Steven Seagal, Master Chuck Norris, and Master Richard Chun. This broad experience in tradition, combined with a practical and a contemporary viewpoint from teaching Criminal Justice programs, has borne a defensive tactics system suitable for today’s camera-ready and litigious society. “I want students to come out of this program not just with defensive techniques, but with a new orientation with the intention to reduce, or even eliminate injuries on both sides of an encounter”. DTT’S Behavior Management System is a novel approach that is designed to be videotaped by John Q. Public.
